Christine has served in many capacities, here are her current advocacy and activism: Founder and President of Synergy Consulting, Inc., Executive Director and Past Board Chair of Asian and Pacific Islander Community Coalition of Oregon (APICCO), Chair of Portland Police Bureau Asian and Pacific Islander American (APIA) Advisory Council, APICCO Representative to Portland General Electric’s Community Benefits and Impacts Advisory Group (CBIAG), Board Member of National Organization for Women (NOW), Board Member of NOW PAC, Executive Vice Chair of Democratic National Committee Small Business Council. Cayle Tern

Cayle serves as the President of the Iu Mein Community of Oregon, Reynolds School Board Member Position 4, Portland Utility Board (PUB) Member – the PUB oversees the Portland Water Bureau and the Bureau of Environmental Services, IRCO’s Pacific Islander and Asian Family Center (PIAFC) Advisory Board member. and East County Rising PAC Board Member.
Hao Nguyen

Hao Nguyen has been actively involved in various outreach efforts for the past five years. He has collaborated with local, state, and federal agencies to make a positive impact in the community. He has organized COVID vaccine drives and has also served as an interpreter for different organizations. Currently, he is proudly serving as the Community Engagement Coordinator for TriMet. Advocating for underserved groups has always been close to his heart, and he is grateful for the opportunity to continue doing so every day. When he is not at work, you can find him exploring the diverse neighborhoods of Portland or volunteering at local events.
Bruce Livingston
Bruce is recently retired from PlayWrite, a 501(c)3 organization he founded in 2003 to support the development of marginalized youth through an intensive one-on-one process of learning to write personal truth for theatrical performance. PlayWrite has worked with refugee, migrant, Native American and other communities marginalized by mainstream society. Trained as an anthropologist at Reed College (B.A.) and the University of Chicago (M.A.), Bruce left academia to pursue life in the culinary world, owning and consulting for start-up restaurant projects beginning in 1980. In the late 1990s he spent four years as an analyst for an Oregon hedge fund.
Cheryl Nervez
Cheryl is a Filipino Community Leader, Philippine American Chamber of Commerce Chairwoman Emerita, and Marketing Expert. Cheryl has worked as a Filipino Community Leader and Activist supporting the movement to right to vote and other social and economic justice for Filipino Americans.
Jasmine Tran
Jasmine is owner of Essance Organic Skincare. Soon after college, Jasmine began to work for a skincare company. As their project manager, she began to learn about different concentrations and formulations present in mass produced skincare. Eventually, she created specific herbal skincare formulations for Essance Skincare. In her free time, she enjoys culinary cooking, yoga, hiking, photography and connecting with friends.
Khanh Tran
Khanh is a 1.5 generation Vietnamese-American who grew up in the Portland metro area. After high school, Khanh enlisted in the United States military where he served five years and attended university following the end of his service. He graduated with a degree in sustainable urban development in 2018 and has worked in the office of Mayor Ted Wheeler since. He served as the Mayor’s Director of Business and Economic Development and currently is with Schnitzer Steel.
